Adding image slider to individual blog post headers on the front page

  I have a wordpress.com blog. I want to use plugins – but can’t, it seems. What I’d like is a plugin or workaround so that I can get individual post-headers, that advertise particular posts on the front page, to be able to slide a couple of images across themselves. So: an image slider for individual post headers on the front page. Can anyone help?

  If not, is it possible to edit the online wordpress.com blog through the desktop wordpress application?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Marcus,

  That’s correct—we don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security and stability purposes. Certain themes on WordPress.com do have a slider. We have a list at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/

  Using one of those themes, you’ll be able to use a slider without a plugin.

  We don’t have a desktop app for WordPress, though most desktop blog editors will work with WordPress.com.
