How to add an image to my footer?
-
In the Chateau theme. I’d like to add an image that looks like a banner (full width of the screen) into the footer area. I dragged the ‘Image’ widget into a footer. It asked me to provide the URL address of my image, but I have the image on my hard drive. The form seems does not support the process of uploading images from your computer. How can I deal with it?
Thank you

Hi there,
You can upload the image from your hard drive by going to your Dashboard -> Media Library -> Add New. Once you’ve successfully uploaded the image, click on “Edit” and copy the “File URL.”
You can use this URL as the source URL for your photo in the Image Widget:

Thank you very much. It worked perfectly. But now that the image and words underneath are located in the footer, another string of words “Footer Image” is displayed prominently in bold type on the left side of the footbar. I’ll appreciate the guidance on how I could get rid of the “Footer Image” string.
With much appreciation,
Vera
