Adding image to header

  hi, before i start i’ll say now im quite new to wordpress (been using it for about 2 months) and i do know a tiny bit of html but no css. ok so i’m trying to add a image to my header, i need it to sit on the left side and although ive had a little luck adding it from reading other posts, im stumped as to how i can move it or even format the size of the picture. i use the vesper theme for my site.
