Adding image to static Cubic theme page
-
Currently, I have 4 images on my static “home” page that are nicely in a grid pattern. I want to add a 5th image. How do I do that?
Also, how do I link the photos so when clicked, they go to another page?
I am very new to WordPress and am NOT finding it to be very easy to work with at the moment! Individual page banners are also mystifying me, but that’s for another day.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can do that by editing the gallery and adding a new item. Click the gallery in your editor to open it, and follow the prompts to add a new item.

If you get stuck at any step, just let me know.

It’s not possible to do that in WordPress galleries.
As a workaround, you could insert the images manually at the same size, instead of using a gallery, and add a link to each image.

Now that I am completely confused by WordPress, and finding it difficult if not impossible to get it to do what I want, will a live chat help me start over? I want a blank slate…no theme yet.

A WordPress site always has to have a theme, it’s not possible to have no theme. :)
It’s up to you whether you prefer live chat over forums – some people prefer one over the other. If you would like to have someone help walk you through things step by step in real time, you might like live chat – you could try it and see.
