  my blog isn’t displaying the add media button, therefor I am unable to add media to my posts I do not know why

  There has been a change to the interface at https://wordpress.com/post/

  The original place to create a post with full features to upload images, etc is here Dashboard > Posts > Add New and it works well for me.

  In fact I never ever use the Add New at https://wordpress.com/post/ which is undergoing changes as part of an ongoing project to make the site multi-device mobile friendly.

  Go to Dashboard > Post > Add New
