Adding images in gallery widget

    Every time I try to add images to the gallery widget, when I click on the Add Images button nothing happens.
    This happens no matter which theme I choose. I am currently using the 2014 theme.

    If you are trying to add images to the Gallery widget through the Customizer, it’s a known issue. Please head over to the Widget Dashboard (under Appearance), and add them there instead.

    Dear Jennifer,

    Thank you sooo much. It was driving me insane….
    And, while I’ve got your expert attention: On the main photo on my page I have a set of clickable… I’m scared to say Categories in case that isn’t what they are… names which take you to the gallery. How do I add to these? Or get rid of them… At the moment I think I’m getting myself into a pseudo-creative mess, as I have a sidebar with the widgets taking you to the galleries (thank you) as well as these ‘names’ on the main photo, which, oddly, take you to a different kind of gallery slideshow with smaller pics. As I’m adding new galleries and pages at the moment I am leaving it there. However, I might want to remove these later, as I prefer the larger photos I get on the sidebar widget (though, so far, I haven’t found out how to let them run as a slideshow – at the moment you have to click on each one to get it to advance).
