Adding Images Issue in Admin

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

so I am quite new to WordPress so my issue may just be because of my lack of experience. When I login to the admin, I am unable to add any images to the site. I literally click the button ‘add image’ directly on the ‘Pages’ tab or via customising and nothing happens. By that I mean, listerally I am pressing the button ‘add image’ and nothing happens. I have even tried installing a new theme to see whether it’s that, however I am still unable to add or change images. When you click ‘add image’ etc, nothing happens. I have removed all plugins and restored it twice, however it’s still the case when you click ‘add image’. I have also tried to install plugins like Elementor to see whether using a plugin I am able to update themes, pages or even add an image and the issue is the same.

I have contacted the hosting team, however they are saying this is a developer issue, however I disagree as they cannot even understand why adding an image is an issue.

I am working on a clients site so getting hold of WP is quite a challenge. I just need a solution to this issue.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there, could you let us know the URL of the site you’re having trouble with?

Please bear in mind that we are able to provide help for sites that are hosted here on WordPress.com. If your client’s site uses the WordPress software from WordPress.org with another host, you may need to check in with the WordPress.org support forums instead, which are here:

    Hi,

this is the case. however I am not getting any responses that actually resolve the issue. The most I got was ‘the same happened to me and I was unable to resolve it’.

    https://www.capstar.co/

    This is the url

That site appears to be hosted elsewhere.

Please use the wordpress.org forum for help that @staff95perctghost linked in their reply you will need to create an account to be able to use the wordpress.org forum

If you would like information about hosting sites with wordpress.com please write back and we can provide information

Yes I have tried to go through WP.org however there is no way to contact someone direct and the support forums have the issue flagged but no resolution only to go back to WP… so i’m a bit stuck really. Here’s what people are saying:

Vendors media gallery is not allowing new images to be added for new products. It allows the initial photo when setting up account but will not allow the addition of new photos for products.

The only test remains is plugin conflict. Please deactivate the third-party plugin (temporarily ) except for WooCommerce and Dokan and check the result. In case the issue remains let us know. Unless the issue is related to any conflict, we are here to help 🙂

    Best Regards.
