adding in the www.
-
Hey guys – sorry – did search the forums, but I can’t find this anywhere. I have used wordpress.org on a different site and managed to change the url to display the “www.” bit after the “http://” bit. But how do I do that here?
I’ve paid for the wordpress.com blog to redirect to a different domain name, but the “www.” bit is cut off. The setting I used to get it to work before doesn’t seem to exist in the wordpress.com dashboard.
so help a poor blind guy put here – where do I find it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You won’t find it. WordPress.com will strip it out.

thanks – i sort of understand wordpress reasoning – even if i don’t entirely agree with it. Thankfully this particular site need much in the way of traffic and whatnot; and so the brief delay while the htaccess strips www. from the url won’t be much of a problem.
Still – it would be nice to have that option on a domain you’re forwarding to.

Well it wasn’t the answer you wanted, but at least you won’t have to keep searching for something that isn’t there. 404
