Adding Instagram Feed to blog

  Hello, I’ve tried adding the instagram widget via the Customize tool – I’ve tried adding it to the sidebars, footers etc, but it won’t appear on my blog. Watched the Help videos and followed the instructions, but no go. Can you please assist? Thanks

  The site I need help with is carvedouttastone.wordpress.com.

  Hi there,

  Did you follow the steps to connect the widget to your Instagram account? I can see an Instagram widget added to your sidebar, but it’s not connected to an account on Instagram’s end. It won’t appear on your site until it is.

  Yes tried the steps
  Connected my account – it says it’s connected but the widget doesn’t show.

  Tried attaching the widget to other areas of my blog – still no go.

  What can I do? I really want this feature and if I can’t get it to work, I’m moving to a different provider.

  Hmm, both Instagram widgets on your site still shows unconnected to me.

  Please log into your WordPress.com account in an incognito browser session and check if it still shows as connected. If not, log into your Instagram account in the same incognito session, and try connecting again.

  Let me know if that also doesn’t work.

  Tried connecting many times. I went to Wix and Squarespace to knock up a dummy site and try this feature, and they both work fine. Not sure what the issue is here with the blog? Does it need to be this hard? Got a friend here also giving me a hand and even they can’t work it out.

  If you open your Instagram settings at https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/, do you see WordPress.com listed there? If not, it means there isn’t any connection yet.

  If WordPress.com is listed there, delete it. Then log out and clear your browser cookies for WordPress.com, Instagram and Facebook.

  Next log back into your Instagram account, and log back into WordPress.com. Does it work if you try the connection now?
