Adding Internal Links

Until about a couple of weeks ago it was the case that if I wanted to add a link to a page on my site, I could just highlight the relevant text in the text editor, click “add link,” start to type the title of the other page on my site that I wanted it to link to, and it would then bring up a list of all pages whose titles were similar to what I’d started to type and then I would just select the right one. It made the whole process quite quick and easy. Now this seems to be no longer available and I’m wondering why and what I can do, if anything, to restore this function? If WordPress have got rid of it, it certainly isn’t an improvement. All links now have to have the whole URL entered, even if they’re only to other pages on my own site.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s a known issue in the new editor.

If you use the classic editor there aren’t any issues. You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and for viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/

On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
To create posts in the classic editor for you that link is

On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts one can hover over any post title and click the Edit link. and proceed with editing.

Thanks that’s really helpful – PLEASE wordpress can you provide an easy way of getting to the old editor as this sort of thing happens to me all the time and I can never remember how to get back to the old editing system.
