Adding items to a drop down menu
-
As I have been developing my blog and adding more recipes, I wanted to make a drop down menu to organize them better. I can figure out how to make the drop down menu, but I can still only get the posts to show up in the “Cooking” menu. For example, I would like to have a “Cooking” page that contains a page for fish, red meat, small game, etc and have my recipes organized into those categories. Is this possible to do on wordpress?

Good day,
Your website has amazing food photography.
To answer your questions, yes, WordPress can create submenus for your categories.
Here are a few resources that you can read on the features available on WordPress:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/advanced-menu-settings/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/navigation-menu-widget/To create what you want, it’s quite straight-forward. First, create your categories (check out the first link).
Then, when creating your custom menu, you can have sub menus to create the down-down effect you want. Categories can also be included in the drop-down.
I hope this can help you started.
