Adding Javascript to WordPress Best practices

  I want to implement a dynamic redirect based on some rules applied to the user agent string. I have the logic already implemented in a Javascript function; I just need to be able to invoke that function from a specific page as it is loading. Could you kindly recommend best practices for making this work within WordPress?

  JavaScript isn’t allowed on WordPress.com sites.

  Also, these forums are focused on helping users with their WordPress.com blogs, so if you have a WordPress.org blog, you may have better luck asking in the WordPress.org support forums.
