Adding link to "category page" in static page

How do I embed the link to a “category page” in a _static_ page to that I can have some static content followed by posts in the specific category? I see how to create a navigation menu item to the “category” page, but I want to have (for example) a “Kitchen Design” menu item that opens a page with static content about kitchen design, followed by various blog entries.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
No problem. You can use the “Display Posts” shortcode and specify a particular category to display posts from. That way you can add text to a page, followed by the shortcode, and it will output the posts you need.
