Adding link to stored info on sidebar – widgets?

  Hi

  I am doing my PGDE and creating a blog for it. I would like to store some useful website to the blog. I was thinking I could do this by creating my own widget and seem to have come some of the way by clocking on custom menu – useful website. However I click on it (on the sidebar) and nothing happens. I am only trying to have it so I click on the sidebar and a list of useful website appears. (It doesn’t need to be a link to the website, just a list of them written out.) Can anyone help? Perhaps I’m going about this the wrong way completely!

  Why wouldn’t you use the Links/Blogroll widget, and configure it from the dashboard Links page?
