Adding Links
-
Okay, I’m stumped. I’m not an expert blogger, but I’m not a complete dunce – or maybe I am. I’ve read the instructions for WordPress that say to highlight the word I want to add a link to, then under the admin something or other, I click on a chainlink (I’m familiar with that) except there isn’t one anywhere that I can find. I’ve looked through the dashboard, and everything on the edit page, and find no way to add a link to my highlighted text. I did add the link to the blogroll thing, but that didn’t seem to do anything for me.
Sure hope someone and give me a simple explanation of how I add external (forgot to say that) links to my text.
Thanks

Do you have a wordpress.com blog?
If so please post the url.If you do then these may help:

Also, check your Profile page (Dashboard –> Profile) and make sure “use visual editor” is ticked, then hit Update. That’s what has the link icon, and if you’re not comfortable using HTML codes, that’s what you should be using.
