Adding LInks button not visible in the links widget. Where is it?

  My add links doe not appear when I click the Links Widget in my blog. All that shows is Links but no option to click ‘add links’. Where is this? In all the support it does not mention this problem.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Are you trying to add links to the left side? You can do that by going to Appearance > Widgets.

  Or are you trying to change the menu on the top? You can change that by going to Appearance > Menus.

  Thanks. I found out how to do by going to Links – Add Links so it works now thanks.
  One other puzzling thing is in the word cloud widget, I put a category word to be excluded but that appears to be the largest word. I’ve tried several times to redo it, but it’s very stubborn. Have you any ideas on that?

  Hi,

  In Appearance, Widgets, Category Cloud, in the field called Exclude, it says “Category IDs, separated by commas”. That means you need to enter the category ID which is a number, not a word.

  To find the category ID, go to Posts > Categories, then click on the category you want to exclude.

  If you look at the website address on the browser bar, it should say something like this:

  https://yourwebsitename.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?action=edit&taxonomy=category&tag_ID=54&post_type=post

  Do you see where it says tag_ID=54? That should be your Category ID number. (Your number would probably not be 54, it would be some other number.) That’s the number you need to put in the Category Cloud Widget.

  Alternatively, if you don’t want the category “Uncategorizable” to appear in the Category Cloud, you can just rename that category. I usually rename it to “General” or something like that.
