Adding links in post
-
Is there a way to post a newspaper link that will show up for people to see but not as a link that you have to click on first to view?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, it is not possible. In order to do that, you have to use the IFRAME tag, but WordPress has removed the IFRAME tag due to security reason.
I have tested it in my post, it shows up fine in preview but once published, the IFRAME tag got converted to A HREF tag (a link).

Correction: You can use IFRAME, but you need a business account.

What I’m trying to do is like what I did with Twitter. You see a little bit of it and click for more. Here is an example.

Here is the list of sites that you can embedded to WordPress post/page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category/embedding-content/
Base on your original post, you are trying to embed a site into your post that is not on the list. You can only do that by using IFRAME, which requires a business plan.
Hope it make sense.

Hello again @louis1962, you could use the “Press This” utility for what you’ve described, but that will publish the snippet as a new post by default. https://en.support.wordpress.com/press-this/
Looking at your new site (looking good!), it looks like you’ve set up static Pages and left your Photography “page” as the blog page? This support guide to understanding the differences between Posts and Pages might be helpful too: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
If you haven’t seen it yet, you might want to work your way through the new user tutorial at https://learn.wordpress.com It does a great job of introducing the basics of getting your site up and running. I highly recommend it.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
