Adding links ti LINKS widget in Treba theme?

I’ve been using the Treba theme for a few years. I have always been able to add links into the LINKS widget but now I don’t see it listed anywhere on the management console!
Also, on the MENUS page I’m now getting a red alert reading “There must be at least one location for a menu in your theme.” I notice that LINKS is in the list along with DEFAULT but I can’t get it to save LINKS.
I’m not even sure the 2 issues are related! Help please! And THANKS!

That’s a very old retired theme. The recommendation is to switch themes because themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.COM features.

Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. You can quickly and easily change themes on any WordPress.COM hosted blog to another one found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and no data will be lost or negatively affected by the change. The only time you may have to do a lot of work is if you are changing to a dramatically different theme with different features and/or if you have done any CSS editing.
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the blog go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes, Browse themes until you find one you like and click the “activate” or the “preview” link, or type in the name of the theme you want to use when it appears.
The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.

Thanks for qwik reply – but – when i get into the Theme “customizer” selection – there is NO “Theme Option” listed!?
I went into Themes and selected “Preview” for a few but they don’t preview my specific site.

OK – I’ve changed themes but still have the same issue. I can get to the LINKS widget customize area but none of the 6 links shown on the site are listed and I see no way to add/delete/mod any! Please?

Also, note that one does not add or remove links from the links widget. It only displays what you do in the dashboard section for links.
You can create a Blogroll in your Dashboard http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/ and display it by installing the Links widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/
Go to http://donaldwrightmemorialscholarship.com/wp-admin/link-manager.php
To add a new link use http://donaldwrightmemorialscholarship.com/wp-admin/link-add.php

Ya that is exactly where I’ve gotten to. The LINKS widget is there but none of the link info is displayed.

Oh My! Yes that’s where I’ve done it before – but the LINKS item ( as a matter of fact a lot of the menu items listed there look like the way it used to look!?

OK well I got a link added there but I sure don’t see how to get to that part of the menu from the new layout only by the direct link you provided. Once I use that, then the entire menu for any mods looks like it used to.
Also, I have “link ratings” in place to use as a sort device and I don’t find that option on the add link screen! Wow………
