Adding links to links widget

I’m new and I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer to this question. I have a “blogroll” with links, working ok. I also have a “links” widget in my work area but not showing on my sidebar because there’s nothing in it. I want to put links into it that lead to to favourite websites which are not blogs. How do I do it?

If you want to add your links on a widget instead of setting up a category, then here’s a chart showing some basic html codes (scroll down to < Link > ):

Then put all the html codes, not javascript codes, in there and close the widget, save it, and wait a few minutes for it to appear on your main page. Or quicker, go edit a post but don’t edit anything. Just save it and your main page will change right away. But make sure to cut and save your code just in case it doesn’t go through the first time and you have to do it again.

Thank you, Nosysnoop. Adding a “links” category was the key. I thought that would only work if the category was “blogroll”. Ah well – I’m learning!

Hi, I basically have the same question, but I want to put links to webpages in several categories. I have added a category named “links” to test it, that worked fine. But when I try to add more categories, eg. “Studere i Australien”, nothing happens.
