adding links under “pages”

    I am trying to add links to my website along the side under the “about” on my site: artfaircalendar.wordpress.com. The link keeps showing up in the “posts” area, not in the “pages”. What is wrong here?

    ‘Pages’, on WordPress.com, means static pages of information that go with your blog. You can use them for all kinds of background info, or set one of them as your front page and have your blog appear ‘behind’ that front.

    What you’re trying to add here is links to other sites. You have several choices for those:
    You can put them in categories (dashboard -> blogroll) and have them appear in a Links widget.
    Or you can put them in a text widget. Text widgets can contain most kinds of HTML, including links and images.
    A third choice, only for links to blogs, is the RSS widget, which you give the feed address of a blog, and which then displays the latest posts from that blog.
