adding live signature to posts
-
I’m very new to wordpress. I am trying to figure out how to add my signature that I created using mylivesignature to my posts using the html feature. I cannot figure it out. Can someone walk me through it? And write it as if I were five please. :) Like… step by step, and where I would find everything. You have no idea how much this would mean to me. :) Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Wanted to ad that I found the livesig plug in download with these instructions:
Once downloaded, simply…* Unzip & Copy the plug-in file into your WordPress plug-ins folder.
* Activate the plug-in from the Plug-in Manager in WordPress.
* Visit the Options / Settings menu and find a new item called LiveSig. Click on that to get to the LiveSig Options page. Once there simply select an appropriate user, enter the corresponding MyLiveSignature code and hit Save. But first off all, I don’t even know what the plug in file is called and I have no idea where the plug-ins folder is located. Kinda hard when you don’t know which file you should be unzipping. ;)

Assuming http://www.mylivesignature.com/ is what you’re referring to…
I’ve never used it before but just tried it. Here’s how I did it:
1. Click “Start Now!” at the top navigation bar
2. Go through the wizard to create your signature
3. When you finish, you’ll see “Finished! The signature is ready.” and your signature ID, the image, etc.
4. Click “Want to use this signature?”
5. On the next page, click “Generate HTML code”
6. Then click “Generate a code for my handwritten signature” link
7. Copy the code in the next page into your blog post, using the HTML editor.Good luck! :)
[Edit] slikbonez’ suggestion below about downloading the image & uploading it in the media library is a good one! In the step 4, click “Want to download this signature?” and follow the instruction thereafter.

Oops, I guess we were posing at the same time.
The WordPress plugin won’t work on WordPress.com.
(For more info on plugins, please see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/)
You will need to manually paste the HTML code to every post. -
Ahh, I see now. What I was trying to do was for the paid version? I’ll try copying and pasting it.

Okay – I tried adding it to a random post. How exactly do I get the html cose in the post for it to show up?
Wow, I really feel like my three year old right now.

When you are writing or Editing the post, you click the HTML tab on the posting box to get to the HTML editor and paste it in there at the very bottom of your post.

Thank you! I did that, and nothing was showing, so maybe there was a glitch somewhere.
Thanks again!

What I did is save my sig to my computer then uploaded the image to my Media Library then I just insert the sig into my post manually each I write post via the media library…

If nothing is showing, it’s probably because the code is stripped out for security reasons. If it contains the word “script” it is insecure and will be stripped out.
