adding media
-
I am trying to add a jpeg to a new blog post, and there is no icon that says ‘add new’ media on any of the versions of my blog. Perhaps I am not the admin? I have also tried to drag and drop the image into the blog and media library with no luck.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy –
You’ll want to click the little drop down arrow next to the + on the left of your post editor.
See here: https://cloudup.com/cyCqp35PG-B
Once you click that arrow you’ll see a drop down menu with the option to add your image.
Let me know if you continue having trouble with this.
There’s also a nifty video here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#publish-a-new-post

Yes, thanks, I know where the pictures need to be added to, I just cannot add more pictures. I try to drag and drop them into the media folder, or directly into the blog draft, and they do not appear. I also cannot find an icon that says “add new media” I can click on the “add media” icon, but it only offers the media I have already stored in the media library. I want to add more images, not use the ones I already have.
If i am not the admin account, could this be the reason? Or is there a data cap on how many images i can store? -

Ah. Take a look at the user roles guide for more details:
