  the add media button doesn’t appear– how do I add images to my posts??

  I just checked and I see your Add Media button does appear in a new post editor window, as follows:

  If you’re not seeing that, could you please take a screenshot for what you do see in this location, and upload it to http://snag.gy/ or another site for free image hosting so I can see what you see when you’re in your Dashboard editor?
