Adding Media into Post and Text Widget in WordPress 2.0

  1. I’m trying to add a music file onto my post. I click the Add Media button, find my audio file and click “Insert Media”. But nothing gets inserted … I have to do it the old way i.e. [audio http://xxxxxxx%5D.

  2. Where do I get the codes to insert audio and images into my widget sidebar now? Whenever I go into Manage, it just shows me a list of my uploaded contents but no codes for me to copy and paste into my text widget.

  Help! I’m REALLY confused.

  Me too. Can I add audio to text widget? All the help topics are for adding audio to new posts.

  You can’t add audio to a text widget; the code won’t work in a sidebar. You have to use one of the specific widgets for that, either the Box.net code in a text widget or Sonific Songspot.

  You can get the codes for you existing media by going to the Media Library or wherever and under Show you can see the URL.
