The “work around” does not solve my problem. I can upload but I cannot INSERT. From the gallery pop-up, the insert button found normally just to the right of the “Save all Changes” button is missing.

The missing “Insert” button problem occurs on both Windows and Linux platforms using Firefox 3.0.10. The Linux machine using a clean install of Ubuntu 9.04 so there are no caches or cookies to clear.

how do you clean out your cache?! this is so annoying. other browsers dont work.

I am creating a new blog and up to now all is well. Suddenly Firefox crashes when I try to upload a new image into a page. Any suggestions?

This is happening right now. Nobody seems to be able to give any answers on it – been on two other threads, no response. Disabling google gears does NOT help. Firefox still crashes.

Disable Google gears (tools menu > addons then restart your browser. If that does not work then uninstall Gears. A few people have reported they had to completely uninstall it.

yeah, I know, it’s just that I was getting no response anywhere – and for a problem that seems to be widespread, too. Anyway, disabling gears in firefox and restarting firefox did the trick. Thanks!
