Adding menu

  i want to add a drop down menu, in that drop down menu i want to have different categories i have written in my blog. I was them to be added to that page directly and not as a link.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sounds like adding “category pages” to your menu should do what you need.

  [on some themes the description you have added for each category will show at the top of your category page as introductory text followed by your blog posts in that category.]
