adding menu not supported by theme — CSS or widget?

My theme — Corporate — supports a few menus, but I want more control over where they appear. I am excited about learning CSS, but if a widget is “best practice” for what I want, then that is the route I want to take. Suggestions?

I suppose I could ask the same help with placing a video player widget on my page. I want that too. Suggestions?

Hi there, widgets can be placed in widget areas (sidebars, and/or footer, and in some themes there are more than that).

If you can explain a bit more about what you are wanting to accomplish, we can give suggestions. In general, most visitors are used to seeing a menu at the top of the site in the header area, or at the top of a sidebar area.

Currently I’m seeing Academica on the site you referenced. I checked and see two other site associated with your username and they are using different themes also.

Have you switched to a different theme, or have you not yet activated Corporate?
