  A friend is coding a mobile web app to go with my book and has asked me these questions about my site

  Could you please find out couple of technical things for me :
  1. What technologies are supported by your hosting provider?
  2. What web server the sites are hosted?
  3. What databases are allowed?

  Any further advice you have about doing the project would be gratefully received

  Hi there – Please tell your friend that your site is hosted on WordPress.com, which is a managed, shared hosting platform. It’s not possible to access the database.

  If you find you need to do something with your site that requires this level of access, you might look into moving to a self-hosted WordPress site. You can read more about the differences here:
