Adding more colour: background for text

    I am trying to splash up my blog but I can only seem to get colour on the side bars. I was hoping to try a background colour for the text and also have a different colour than the main colour behind the box. Thanks everyone, I can blog but I can’t format. Cheers, Harlon

    Hi Harlon, add the following to your custom CSS. I’ve used obnoxious colors for demonstration purposes. The first rule is the red, the second the lime green and the third is the yellow.

    .site-header, .site-content .widget-area {
        background-color: #cc0000;
    }
    .site-main {
        background-color: #11ff00;
    }
    .main-navigation .menu, .tablet-desktop .main-navigation {
        background-color: #ffee00;
    }

    Thanks – that totally worked, I actually like your choice of colours and the finished product is kind of fun. Appreciate your help. Peace, Harlon
