Adding multiple users to a site

A friend of mine has a blog at wordpress.com and wants to add me as a co-author. How can he do so ?? should he create a new user with my username ?? or send an invite to me ?? and the invite should be sent to which email address ??

(Please note: there is a new “Add user” option under “Users” but the instructions above should still work)Your friend should use the email address that currently appears under Users > Personal Settings for you.
