Adding MX records for crossvinecoaching.net

  • Unknown's avatar

I have crossvinecoaching.net through godaddy, and need to add MX records to wordpress, I guess because we can’t use the email address from godaddy. I’ve tried all that I know to do, but am ignorant of how exactly to go about this. My personal research has come to naught, and I desire your help.
Would you be able to please tell me what, exactly, I am supposed to put in the custom DNS fields? I honestly don’t know what I’m doing here, as this is outside my skill set.
Any help is greatly appreciated, oh thou wise and awesome Happiness Engineers!

    Hi there,

    Could you try this?

    1. Go to Upgrades > Domains in your Dashboard.

    2. Click “Edit DNS” button on the right of your domain name.

    3. In the text box, paste the code below:
(just XXXXXXX lines between dashes, don’t forget the periods at the end of each line):

    ——————————
    MX 0 smtp.secureserver.net.
    MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net.
******** MAKE SURE TO UPDATE THESE LINES ********
    ——————————

    4. Hit the save button.

Please allow 4-8 hours for .COM and .NET domains and about 24-48 hours for all other domain extensions for these changes to complete.

Hey, thanks! I’ve entered this- now it seems so easy, and I feel like a bit of a dork for asking about this. I hope that I haven’t wasted your time. I’ll give this about 4 – 8 hours and see how things go.

Enjoy this simple haiku as a thank you for your help: (I’m not that good, but…)
