Yes. Read the rest of the suggestions in this thread. Also, there is no “www.” in your blog address. It is http://jobys.wordpress.com/ instead. Change that on your Profile, under Website. It DOES matter.

You are not running WordPress 2.8. You do not have Plugins. Blogs hosted at WordPress.com are not running exactly the same software as sites that are independently hosted, where they had to put the software up themselves. Please do not hijack existing threads: do a forum search for Plugins and Domain Name and you’ll find your answers quickly.

@chiz4722: Search engines need a sitemap, and all wp.com blogs have their sitemap created automatically. You don’t have to do anything other than what thesacredpath explained a few days ago in this thread:

Is it possible to provide me a list of best practices to be followed to get the blog poast in the Google search result? I am not sure how many would be availblable for my blog as this is a free service. Still would like to have. Also, wanted to inform that I tried verified my site through Google Webmaster tool. Will that be beneficial for search result?

To be listed in Google you need to have some content. You don’t have any. That said, the quickest way to enter Google’s index is to use Google Webmaster Tools.

@rozzie018, it looks like you have already verified your blog with Google, so now you just have to wait. It could take up to a week.
You can check here http://ismyblogworking.com/ from time to time and it will tell you when you are indexed.
Do note that it can take 6 months to a year before you will get enough page rank to start showing up higher in google searches.

Just a tip after looking at your blog (yes, I can read and understand the language). If you want to show up in Google, please write unique content of your own. Do not take content from elsewhere. First of all it is stealing, and secondly, if site A is listed in Google and you take content from site A and put it on your blog, site A will still be listed for that content, but you will not. That’s how Google works. -

1. make that page a child page
