Adding my own domain

  I am considering having my own domain name for my WP blog. I see that it costs $18/year to do so for a .com. I see that choosing a .me is $25/year. What is the difference?

  P.S. The difference is that one has a .me URL and the others don’t. They can be .com .org, etc.
