Adding my site to my wordpress.com account page

I have had a wordpress account for many years. I have a free blog on wordpress and two external sites hosted elsewhere (so i am on a free plan with WordPress).
I didn’t have any problem adding one of the two external websites. But with the last one, http://www.giovanninavarria.com when i click add new site (in my wordpress.com page), i get toAdd an existing WordPress site with Jetpack
We’ll be using the Jetpack plugin to connect your site to WordPress.comThen I add my site address (in full with https, but i also tried without or only HTTP) the result is always the same:
i get to the step
Add your self-hosted WordPress credentials (wp-admin)
Your login credentials are used for the purpose of securely auto-installing Jetpack and will not be stored.And when I click to install it tells me
Try Installing Manually
We were unable to install Jetpack because something went wrong.But Jetpack is already installed and running on my site without a hitch.

Hi Gio, it looks like there are a few possible issues here, but first and foremost we can’t connect to your site.
Can you troubleshoot the connection issue with your host first? You can use the debug tool here:
Once that’s resolved, let us know if you have any remaining issues and we’ll go from there.

When I do debug all i get is
Communication error
We were unable to make an XML-RPC request to your website. Please make sure that XML-RPC is turned on and that Jetpack is installed, activated and connected with your WordPress.com account.
I edited my htaccess adding the xml-rpc code needed, but to no avail.
Any help? -
Hi there,
Can you please contact your hosting provider and ask them to unblock your site’s xmlrpc.php? Most hosts block that file, but it’s needed for Jetpack to connect to WordPress.com.
