Adding my wordpress.com website to Hootsuite

Added app for WordPress to Hootsuite and it shows up on dashboard, however Hootsuite does not recognize it as a social media when trying to schedule post.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have the same issue, if you try to add it as social media and your wordpress.org account points at your self hosted wordpress.com site you will get an error that says “An error occured with wordpress.com. Please try again” Its really annoying and for the time being it appears as if though the app is read only. Maybe I am wrong but thats what it looks like. Which would mean that I will not be renewing my hootsuite account next month if it ends up being true.

@clothingandcanvas are you using a WordPress.com site or is it a self hosted WordPress.org site?

The forums here support sites hosted on WordPress.com. You may want to post the issue on
https://wordpress.org/support/In all likelihood, Hootsuite refers to WordPress.com login and not self-hosted WordPress login. Hence it may not be working for you.

Why cant you directly link your WordPress.com credentials to Hootsuite?
