Adding Navigation in DePo Masthead Theme

Is there any way that I could add a navigation tool in the DePo Masthead theme? The one showed here: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2008/09/12/depo-masthead-theme-launch/ does have the navigation if you notice, but the one you download from wordpress.com directly does not have navigation tools between older posts. I am just wondering if there is a way to do so.

Hi thanks a lot for the reply. I meant in the main page of the blog itself, letting readers to navigate through the blog from the main page, it wont show very much when its in the post.

Are you talking about the “archives” section in the center bottom below the posts in the announcement for the theme? To get that you have to add the “DePo archives and categories” widget to the center bottom sidebar – or the right or left as you see fit.

Thanks for the reply again. No i just want a navigation that you can see previous posts in the blog. just simple next previous buttons that navigate you through the website, maybe even with page numbers, just a way to navigate through the pages

I’m afraid that doesn’t exist on that theme; the screenshot you see on the announcement is of an individual archive page for a particular post.

DePo Masthead actually has a lot of shortcomings in my opinion, and this issue is one of them. To add that to the theme, you would have to have access to the underlying theme PHP script files and we do not have access to those. It isn’t something that can be added via CSS. CSS is for styling, not for adding functionality.
