Adding New Contributor

  This seems so complicated. I want to add another author/contributor. She is not currently a wordpress user/member/blogger. It appears as though I can’t send her an invite unless she is. Is this correct? How can I make this happen?
  Totally frustrated and appreciate any help.

  No, go ahead and send the invite, and then when she clicks on the link, she will be prompted to either sign in or create an account. She does not have to start a blog, just get a username/account. Make sure that she uses the same email address for setting up her account as you sent the invite to.

  OK, I did that for one of the contributors I wanted to add and he accidentally hit the “start a blog option” instead of just create an account. I can see that new blog name but I can’t add him as a contributor to the main blog. Help, please. Also, since the contributors user names are a bit bulky, how do I get them a more friendly nickname to use when posting. We are a dot com blog.

  I had added a contributor who already has a wordpress blog, but when he gets the invite there is no (easy) way for him to be part of my blog. Any ideas????
