Adding New Domain

  Hi! When I am logged in and I purchase a new domain for $18, does that new domain automatically forward to the main domain I am logged in as?

  I believe if a user has multiple domains, they can choose which one to use as their primary, then all other registered domain are forwarded to the chosen one?

  Is it possible to be logged in and simply acquire domain names without paying for forwarding? Or is $18 the only option?

  My dilemma is this: I’m not sure which domain name I ultimately want to use, but in the meantime, I’d like to snatch up the few possibilities that I’m considering.

  WordPress is not in the business of selling domain names fro squatting purposes. They partner with Wild West Domains for the purpose of providing domain mapping services to those who purchase domain mapping upgrade for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.

  In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from, and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own the domain URL.

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades to purchase upgrades for the blog.

  Thanks for the info! I’m stuck between two domains – not sure which I’m going to go with. No squatting here…
