Adding New Links Not Working
-
I fill out the new link form and click save. The new link does not show up in the blogroll list and all of the new information is lost. Any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. Links can be divided in categories. Perhaps you added the link to a category that currently doesn’t appear on your current links widget?

Thanks for the response. I had added the link to the Blogroll category, which is already there. After reading your response, I made a new link category and tried adding the new link there. No luck. After clicking save, the new link form comes back on the screen and it is empty. Should that be what comes up on the screen next?

A Trick: access http://m.wordpress.com/?action=bookmark and save your link. Later go to link-manager.php and edit data.
Are you using https:// instead of http://? -
@hannahwestbrook what browser and version are you using? Try some of the suggestions on this page http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

Thanks everyone! wpgaurav – your advice helped me to figure it out based on the http information. The link was provided in two versions, a regular url and an encryped version. The website instructed to copy the encypted version and paste it on your webpage. I did this when adding it to the post itself and it worked. To add to the blog webpage via the link form, once I copied the url form, it worked. Thanks again!

Hannah here again. I spoke too soon, though definitely got a step closer. The link appeared in the link list, and if you click on the url from there, it goes to the right place. The link also showed up on the blog webpage under the correct category. However, when you click on it, it goes to some WordPress page about blog types.
-
If they are going to the page about blog types, then that means that wordpress has scanned those URLs and found them to be against the terms of service here. They have a system that scans blogs for links against the TOS.
If you think that WP is in error, contact them and give them the links you are trying to use. Also, read through the “types of blogs” page that is being linked to.

Oops, I now understand, and clearly didn’t read the TOS well enough. The link was to clickbank, which apparently is not permitted. I will go and remove the link now. Thanks to all for your help.
