Adding new page to header
-
Good evening,
I would like to add more pages to my header. I found the widget to add it to the side bar but prefer to have it in the header. How is this handled? Any suggestions?
Thank you!

You may add a single image to your customizable header. If you wish it may be comprised of a collage of images and then made into a single header. However, you may not insert a widget of any kind anywhere into the header or into posts or pages. Widgets may only be inserted in the sidebar. There are also restrictions on which widgets you may use from third parties. They must be only HTML – no flash, javascript, embeds like iframes, etc. Please read this http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

There are lots of themes that have tabbed headers; you can search for them on the Themes page. Then, when you create a static page it comes up as a tab automatically.

Thanks to you both. I found a blog using the Ocean Mist theme (can’t recall the blog site) and it had multiple tabs. I just cannot figure out how they did it. I have the static picture installed as my header and have that figured out I just am stuck w/ adding more tabs.

Please understand that you can view the Ocean Mist theme on other blogs in the internet and they may be using the original version of the theme which was coded as all of our themes at wordpress.COM are first to run on wordpress.ORG software. In order to run on our software the themes must be “adapted” and this means they lose some features and functionality.
Setting that aside we do not add anything to headers other than header images. We add static pages to a horizontal menu bar.
In your Admin section look down the left hand column and find “Pages” and click it.
