adding new post

When I go to add a new post….I see this question show up under add title…’What are your two favorite things to wear?’ I didn’t put the question there. Have I been hacked? I can go down below it and backspace to delete it but it sure is weird.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m getting it too. I have no plug-ins and our pages have different themes so I have no idea where it’s coming from but it’s very distracting and annoying since it ruins my formatting. If I have to delete this every day it’s going to be frustrating.

I get “what are your feelings about eating meat?” Sometimes I despair of WordPress.com. Who thinks this nonsense up?

And, thanks to your feedback, we’ve got an option to turn it off. You can find that here on a per-site basis: https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/
Cheers, folks.

Hi @supernovia Does turning off writing prompts in Settings>Writing also turn them off in the other places they appear, on our site’s My Home dashboard and in our notification panel? Or do each of those have to be turned off separately?

(This is also a test of image uploading. Glad to see ALT TEXT available in block settings.) If separately, it would be a better user experience (IMO) to include a global setting. Thanks.

That is an excellent point and I have passed it on to the team. I hadn’t actually seen the prompts on My Home until you posted this; but the support doc specifies that the hide option in your screenshot will switch them off in My Home:
https://wordpress.com/support/writing-prompts/#enable-or-disable-writing-prompts
Technically you can also sign up for daily prompt notifications too; but those are opt-in from the start and can be switched off from Profile > Notifications; however it would be smoother to have one toggle to rule them all.
