adding new post overwrites old post
-
When ever I add a new post, the first one is overwritten….So I can have only one post at a time! The answer should be so obvious to me. WHAT IS HAPPENING?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

sorry, thought the link was in the post.
does the design I chose allow only one post at at time? is there some setting I’m missing?
thanks! -
You’ll need to check yout settings. How many posts have you set it to show on the first page?

but where is that setting? I can’t find it anwhere?
in settings> readings, It says “front page displays latest posts”
and later “blog shows at most 10 posts”
yet every post overwrites the last one. -
Posts will show in reverse chronological order (newest at top). When you make a new post, it will show at the top and push the other posts down one place.
-
yes… in theory. The problem is, it’s not pushing the old post down. It’s just publishing a new post and the other one goes away, unless it’s hidden somewhere.

yes. It’s the theme.
Thank you all for your help! it looks great as banana smoothie, for the moment. -
Hmmm, it shouldn’t be the theme. Perhaps there is an issue that staff needs to look into.

We are dealing with 3 things? 1. Frontpage. 2. Pages. 3. Posts. Isn’t that it?
If so: you are not writing posts. You are renewing the Frontpage.

well, okay… I’ll show you…

notice how the url has 2009/09 in it. you can get to the previous post by going to august in that calendar on the right side… BUT. you can’t get them both on the same page at once. -

Hi universalgeni. I think I am editing posts. And don’t those posts appear on the front page?
