Adding New Posts As Premium Content

Hello. I have a question that I haven’t seen answered anywhere. Perhaps I’m just not as familiar with the functions and tools as I should be. I just created a subscription-based newsletter. I know how to create a premium content block. I’ve done so and have it all linked up with Stripe. In fact, I had a family member test out subscribing and it works great. My problem, though, is that I don’t know how to add new premium content. If I try to add it as a post, it doesn’t appear under premium content. And when I try to go into the “subscriber content” page and edit it, I can’t figure out how to add a new premium block/post that doesn’t include the “subscribe” and “member log in” buttons. In other words, I know how to add one premium content post, but I can’t figure out how to add additional posts under premium content after the first one. Any help would be great. Zack

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Zack,

You create premium content by first creating a regular post, and then adding the content that should only be visible to subscribers inside a premium content block. In other words, the post will be visible to all visitors to your site, but content in that specific block will only be visible to paid subscribers.

If your entire post is just for paid subscribers, I suggest you also add a regular paragraph block that contains a teaser of the content and a call to action to sign up for a subscription.

Also note that your plan gives you access to both live chat and direct email support. You can reach those at any time by clicking the Help icon that appears bottom-right on all the My Sites pages, or else via the direct link at https://wordpress.com/help/contact
