Adding other blog info to your blog
-
Hi there!
I have noticed on other people’s blogs (not WP) that they have a column where they can list other blogs they are following.
Can we do that on WP?
Also, I want to add a button for a writing group that I am in and they gave me the code but where do I add that on my dashboard?
Thanks so much! :)
Lisa
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Here here for how to create a Blogroll. See here for how to display it in your sidebar using a Links Widget.
As for the button code you can place it in a text widget. -
This link will explain to you how to create a blogroll (which is, I think, what you mean):

To add a button to your side panel you’ll need to paste the code into a text widget. Here’s how to use a text widget:
-
@TT – sorry, I am so slow with my typing that by the time I’m ready to post my response someone else has beaten me to it!

Hi and thank you all for your time!
I have tried all of your suggestions and none of it comes up on my blog!
Don’t know what I am doing wrong!

a) You visit the other blogs and copy their complete addresses from the address bar of your browsers.
b) You use those addresses to create Links in Links > Add New.
c) You go to Appearance > Widgets and drag a Links widget to Sidebar. -
Okay, I go to Appearance>Widgets>
On the right hand side it reads:
SECONDARY SIDEBAR
FEATURE AREA
FIRST FOOTER AREA
SECOND FOOTER AREAI have no idea what this means.
Where do I drag the LINKS (Your Blogroll)?
I would like my Blogs That I Follow to be on the right hand side of my blog page.
Thanks again! :)

You drag the Links widget to the Primary Sidebar.
As for what those other modules mean, see here:
