Adding outside widgets
-
I wanted to add a widget to my page so I can see where my page ranks on the internet. I don’t have the CSS upgrade. The ranking site needs me to add their widget. Is it possible to add it without messing up my theme?

In free wp.com blogs you cannot add external widgets – only those you can find in Design>Widgets. You can add a text widget and paste the relevant code from that site IF the site provides a plain html version (no javascript or flash).

You may take the code from http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php if you like. It’s free anyway.

@panaghiotisadam, sorry, i’m a little dense. i have pasted it but my blog does not reflect it :(
-
@inbavalli: I cannot know what you’re referring to. WHAT exactly is it that you’ve pasted but doesn’t reflect?

I pasted this: <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://widgetserver.com/syndication/subscriber/InsertWidget.js?appId=8bb7d077-b296-4c58-ac7d-9377f591edf0″></script><noscript>Get the NeoCounter widget and many other great free widgets at Widgetbox!</noscript>
It is supposed to show from which countries my blog is getting readers. The widget is not working on my blog :(
