Adding page alters formatting

    When I add a page to my site, all those words which were italicised in the original document are “de-italicised”. Why doesn’t the site simply copy the original italicisation in the original formatting? How can I remedy this? It means that I have to go through the whole document again and re-instate the original italicisation.

    For example, if in the original document….

    “The cat sat on the mat”, cat is italicised then when I add the page to my site, the whole sentence appears de-italicised. Why?
