Adding pages to Categories

  Hello,
  I created categories using word press and added them to the sidebar with the drop down option. Right now under the drop down it is only showing the option of select category. How do I make the pages I create appear under the drop down of these specific categories?

  Pages cannot be categorized, only posts can.

  Thank you that helped me figure out how to add the posts to the side bar categories. However, I have two categories and when I add a post, under all categories, I click on category number one as I only want it in that category. However, it also shows up in category number 2 on the side bar and the link is not clickable either. What do I edit so that a post only comes up in category number one or two and not both?

  Add only one category, not both, to the post.
