Adding pages to my menu
-
I can’t seem to add more pages to my menu. I type in a topic like PUBLICATIONS and the search won’t find it. It doesn’t allow me to enter it anyway? I’d like my tabs, on the top menu, to have ABOUT, PUBLICATIONS, PRESENTATIONS, WRITING SPARKS, and BLOG. Why can’t I seem to get it to recognize this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Pages are not Topics, Categories or Tags. Pages are for static content that rarely changes. They have no RSS feeds and do not automatically update. To add more pages see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Reader Surfer, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.

Pages we bloggers create are static ie. they do not automatically update and are for content that rarely changes. Only the dynamic Categories pages created by the software when we assign Categories to Posts will automatically update.
The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.
We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic automatically updating categories pages created by the software into the custom menu.

Thank you TimeThief for your responses and links. I am using my site as a website mostly. I want static pages with information that rarely changes and I’d like “tabs” (and maybe I’m not using that term properly) in the menu bar so people can navigate from there. When I tried adding a page, it showed it in the main portion of the site but it doesn’t show on the menu bar. How can I get it there?
