adding paypal donate button widget with ccards to sidebar

  try as we might with advice wordpress instructions the widget does not go to sidebar with logo and all that happens is html script is printed all over the page. we do not want it on a page like a blog.

  The only version of the PayPal button we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs is this one http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/ Is that the guide you are using?
