Adding PayPal for beginner

  Hello all,

  I’m pretty much a complete n00b but definitely a try hard. I wanna add buttons to my PayPal account and it hasn’t worked. Thanks to this forum I’ve discovered that it’s all because of pesky Java Script…however, I don’t really know what Java Script is…

  Anyway, can anyone give me a really broken down step by step idiots guide to putting paypal buttons on my blog please? I’d REALLY appreciate it.

  Also read types of blogs allowed and not allowed > http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
  advertising > http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

  I make a long story short wordpress.com blogs can only have PayPla <dtrong> donation buttons. There is no ecommerce capability for wordpress.com blogs. If you want a monetized blog then you will want to make the wordpress.ORG choice.

  As we can only offer what we ourselves make for sale (no wholesaling or retailing merchandise made by others is allowed), and as we cannot conduct financial transactions on wordpress.com blogs some people use contact forms > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

  In additon as you mentioned javascript above it’s important to know that we have code restrictions on wordpress.com blogs to preserve security as this is a multiuser blogging platform. You will find the codes that the software will strip out here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  Ahhh-hhhaaa…it all becomes clearer now. Thanks a lot for that. I am indeed attempting to sell things I make myself. I’ll have a think about my options.
